Description
The merchant navy is a term used to refer to the commercial sector of the maritime industry. The merchant navy has no involvement in military service, but rather the shipping of cargo and people across sea routes aboard cargo ships, tankers, and cruise liners.
Qualifications
The eligibility requirements are that an individual should pursue physics, maths or chemistry in class 12th and score at least 60% marks. A student can also pursue a career in the merchant navy after completing class 10th with 40% marks and B.E. (Naval Architecture/Mechanical Engineering)
